I forgot how to write, the way I used to flow
I forgot how to craft, to spin words on the go
I forgot how to plot, paint scenes in rhymes and lines
I forgot how to tell, emotions in apt signs

I forgot.

To pour out on blank paper
Telling it all my secrets
In the company of silence
And the loudness of feelings

To connect to imaginary readers
Touching each soul in sheer expression
Letting blood flow in black ink on white paper
As I confide in the public that keeps my secrets

I remember …

How it feels

To have a million people listen
To what no one is being told
And many minds keeping secrets
They do not know they have

The art of writing is a language
Woven in shared secrets
That you will keep
For it speaks to your mind
Bypassing your ears
